Our Training Team

Indigo Training trainers and facilitators bring a wealth of collective experience spanning corporate training, communications skills, sales,management and customer service courses. In addition, we offer a range of niche courses – including Chinese language and corporate training, and social media executive training sessions. All business and certificate trainers have their Cert IV Workplace Training and Assessment qualifications. Whilst each has his or her own unique style, all Indigo trainers have one thing in common – a passionate commitment to helping others bring out their best and to ultimately inspire those they work and live with to do the same.

Rum Charles – Principal Consultant

Rum’s Training background encompasses all areas of human communication. Like all Indigo Facilitators, Rum has his Cert IV Workplace Training and Assessment. He is a skilled and dynamic facilitator who takes great care to ensure all participants on all courses receive a training session that is personal and relevant to not only the Organisation, but also the individual.

Rum’s consultancy experience includes facilitating the creation of organisational vision statements and organisational cultures, leadership programs, conflict resolution, team-building, customer focus and sales training.

Rum has worked with many organisations both in Australia and overseas. He has extensive experience within government organisations as well as a host of corporate clients all of whom have had positive results from programs conducted by Rum.

Rum is the pioneer and driving force behind the hugely popular and highly successful methodology known as ”Entertrainment”. He has refined this methodology into a working model which has over time proved itself again and again in a myriad of training and facilitation environments always with outstanding results for individuals and clients alike. Bruce Hughes – Trainer

Bruce has worked with the full range of small, medium and large private companies and corporations, financial institutions, retail, local, state and federal governments, elite sportspeople, and professional services firms (lawyers, accountants, bankers).

He has assisted thousands of people in dozens of organizations since he began training in 1992 and continues to be inspired by the capacity people have, once given the right conditions, to refresh their thinking, and to change their behavior.

He has worked in all the capital cities of Australia, and internationally in USA, Germany, UK, Lebanon, Slovakia, India, China, Singapore, New Zealand, and Malaysia.

He helps people prepare for presentations, deal with difficult conversations, become more fully present, and to communicate clearly, confidently and concisely.

Vivian Xi – Chinese Language and Cultural Specialist

To succeed in the Chinese market, it is essential to be able to break through the barrier of language, culture and set way of thinking. Vivian will teach you to use the language in a cross-cultural setting. Communicating effectively will support you and your business to build a stronger relationship with your Chinese counterparts.

After growing up in an entrepreneurial family in Beijing , combined with many years of working as a Chinese language teacher in New Zealand and Australia, Vivian can bridge the gap between both cultures.

Vivian’s teaching style is supportive, encouraging and enthusiastic. Maintaining a strong connection with her Chinese ancestry brings an honest and passionate commitment to bridge the gap between these two very different cultures. Leah Climas – Trainer & Facilitator.

Leah Climas is an Indigo facilitator who has the skills, passion and drive to work with your community, government or corporate organisation. Leah has been involved in putting together her own business and has run ‘Systems Thinking’ in Quality Management workshops throughout the Department of Education and Training for 12 years.

As an International Advisor for United Arab Emirates Leah set up an Autism School and undertook training of up to 1000 people to establish their Vision Mission and Core Values on a large scale. Her expertise in delivering Professional Development has been well sort after and workshop feedback clearly indicates that Schools have valued her processes greatly. In 1996 a clear recognition of her facilitation abilities was emphasized when nominated by her peers and won Teacher of the Year.

Leah’s workshops are dynamic, exciting and connecting, often bringing out the best in people and their organisations.

Shannon Cooper – Trainer & Facilitator

Shannon holds an Advanced Diploma in Management and Human Resource Management, a Diploma of Business and is nearing successful completion of a Masters of Entrepreneurship and Innovation from Swinburne University. He also holds a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.

Shannon is highly knowledgeable on the Business Services Training Package (BSB07). He is able to develop, deliver and assess Units of Competency to the required standards of the Australian Quality Training Framework criteria.

Shannon has a real passion for people and training. His facilitation style is engaging, challenging, honest and guaranteed to bring out the best in all participants in his training or coaching sessions.
