Indigo Training and Consulting facilitators and trainers bring a wealth of collective experience; spanning corporate training, communication skills, sales, management and customer service programs.
All business and certificate trainers have their Cert IV Workplace Training and Assessment qualifications. Whilst each has his or her own unique style, all Indigo Training consultants have one thing in common — a passionate commitment to helping others bring out their best and to ultimately inspire those they work and live with to do the same.
Rum Charles – Principal Consultant
Rum’s Training background encompasses all areas of human communication. Like all Indigo Facilitators, Rum has his Cert IV Workplace Training and Assessment. He is a skilled and dynamic facilitator who takes great care to ensure all participants on all courses receive a training session that is personal and relevant to not only the Organisation, but also the individual.
Rum’s consultancy experience includes facilitating the creation of organisational vision statements and organisational cultures, leadership programs, conflict resolution, team-building, customer focus and sales training.
Rum has worked with many organisations both in Australia and overseas. He has extensive experience within government organisations as well as a host of corporate clients, all of whom have had positive results from programs conducted by Rum.
Rum is the pioneer and driving force behind the hugely popular and highly successful methodology known as ”Entertrainment”. He has refined this methodology into a working model which has over time proved itself again and again in a myriad of training and facilitation environments always with outstanding results for individuals and clients alike. Bruce has worked with the full range of small, medium and large private companies and corporations, financial institutions, retail, local, state and federal governments, elite sportspeople, and professional services firms (lawyers, accountants, bankers).
He has assisted thousands of people in dozens of organizations since he began training in 1992 and continues to be inspired by the capacity people have, once given the right conditions, to refresh their thinking, and to change their behavior.
He has worked in all the capital cities of Australia, and internationally in USA, Germany, UK, Lebanon, Slovakia, India, China, Singapore, New Zealand, and Malaysia.
He helps people prepare for presentations, deal with difficult conversations, become more fully present, and to communicate clearly, confidently and concisely.
Sharon Bard is an Australian born diversity specialist who has spent the past 21 years of her career participating in South Africa’s vibrant diversity journey.
Sharon is a thought leader in diversity management and throughout her career has forged a specialisation in managing disability in the workplace. She has a tapestry of experience that is specific to the diversity and disability sector including experience in the private sector, local government and the not for profit space. Sharon has supported numerous companies to successfully carve and implement relevant and sustainable diversity strategies, policies and action plans.
Sharon is the director of the newly established Progression Australia, a successful consulting company that operates in both South Africa and Australia.
Sharon Bard is a well-rehearsed public speaker whose expertise and delivery style has won her respect from a number of national and multinational companies as an expert consultant. Sharon is a pragmatic change agent with a passion for creating diverse and inclusive workplaces.
Anthony has 13 years experience in corporate Australia in sales, marketing & people management roles. In addition to face to face selling for 4 years, Anthony turned “middle of the road” sales teams into high performing teams as well as looking after marketing teams with brands worth over $150 million.
In 2005 Anthony left the corporate life to follow his dream of creating his own company to inspire and motivate others. He is at ease speaking to any audience, from truck drivers to CEOs. Anthony is a certified NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) Master Practitioner and has been “on stage” & performing since the age of 10.
Anthony’s use of real life examples with which all audience levels can identify makes his sessions unpretentious yet incredibly powerful & memorable.
Bernadette Schwerdt (pronounced Shhhwerdt)
Bernadette is the founder and Managing Director of the Australian School of Copywriting. Her company specialises in training people in the art of writing words that sell. Her copywriting clients have included Apple, Telstra, The Property Council of Australia, Consumer Affairs, Red Cross and many more.
In addition to her copywriting work, some of her previous positions include:
- Being the marketing reporter for Channel Nine’s The Small Business Show
- A celebrity publicist with HMMG (formerly Harry M Miller Group) managing clients such as Gough Whitlam, Maggie Tabberer and Lindy Chamberlain.
- She also moonlights as an actress and appeared opposite Guy Pearce in the movie Jack Irish on the ABC.
Sol Charles attends Elwood College and is in Year 12. He is a champion debater, a black belt in karate and has a keen interest in world politics, artistic design and his own future.
Sol is a digital native and is born into the world of social media this is a topic he is passionate about with insights that older people simply miss.
Sol also speaks about youth issues and how best to entice young people to work within your organisation and the culture you will need to have to hang on to them.
